Those carrying backpacks or sitting in doorways, along the Poudre, in vacant cars or in back of buildings. They are not shopping. They’re hurting, trying to forget past times of family gatherings because it hurts to remember the past. You can help them in looking ahead to a better day - The filled stomach of a hot meal, a shelter and a warm bed. A meal like they once had - turkey, stuffing, pumpkin pie. The works. You can help them realize that while they are down, someone cares enough to help lift them up. You. The wise men came to visit the baby Jesus with gifts. You can come to visit and bring (or send) donations so that they have a hot delicious meal on Christmas and days to come. Your gift can be their birth in hope and love.
