FEBRUARY NEWSLETTER

HELP!
And we do!

Yes, Donations are down dangerously but successes of getting people on their feet and permanently out of shelters is on the rise.

We are concentrating on those who want a hand up not just a hand out.

Is it working? YES! And YES! Do we still need help ? Absolutely.

Your partnership, your financial, volunteer, and gifts in kind is doing the job. So I know January was unusual but not permanent. Partners keep on keeping on in helping the homeless. The utilities have
skyrocketed as you know, but so has our love and hurt for the homeless. You are needed even more and in every capacity.

God bless you for caring and helping our homeless. They come in tears and leave learning how to handle tomorrow because of you.

Text Box: Dear Hays Market

There are stores and then there are stores and Hays Market stands out with the biggest. Not in numbers yet, but in giving from the heart. You set up a very ingenious way of inviting customers to participate in helping the homeless... and do you ever. God bless you Hays Market in you caring, both in Johnstown and Berthoud. I cannot express our thanks to you as well as the word does.

I Corinthians 13: 3-7

If I gave everything I have to the poor and even sacrificed my body, I could boast about it, but if I didn’t love others, I would be of no value whatsoever.  Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude.  Love does not demand its own way.  Love is not irritable, and it keeps no record of when it has been wronged.  It is never glad about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out.  Love never gives up, never loses faith,   is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.

Text Box: HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!

Valentine’s Day started in the Roman Empire when Claudius II banned marriage. St. Valentine aided the Christian martyrs and secretly married couples. St. Valentine was thrown in prison and sentenced to death. He suffered martyrdom on February 14th 269 A.D. He left a note to a young woman who had befriended him in prison. He signed the note “Love from your Valentine.”
